For Brattøra, the code to the sanitary facilities is also sent approximately 30 minutes before in a separate SMS.
How do I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Reschedule: You can easily reschedule your booking up to 48 hours before your session. You can do this on My Page.
Cancel: Contact support@stu.no and provide the name and email address used for the booking. Free cancellation is available up to 72 hours before your booking.
What should I bring to my sauna visit?
Bring two towels – one for swimming and one to sit on in the sauna – and swimwear. Also bring a water bottle with plenty of water.
Is it possible to book a shorter or longer session than scheduled?
Unfortunately not. We only offer the set duration defined for each sauna. If you have a special occasion that requires accommodation, please contact us at support@stu.no and we'll see what we can do.
Is there a changing room?
All our saunas have unisex changing rooms. At Brattøra, you can also use the sanitary facilities at Hurtigbåtterminalen to change and shower privately.
Can I use essential oils in the sauna?
Yes, but please always follow these rules:
- Always ask the other guests before using oils on the sauna stove. We want to avoid allergic reactions caused by the use of essential oils.
- Always dilute the oils in water before pouring them on the stove, to prevent the oils from burning onto the stones.

The code to the sanitary facilities is sent via SMS before your booking.

How to use the code:

There are 2 showers at the sanitary facilities: one for men and one for women.

No, we don't have dedicated lockers. However, the changing area is only accessible to those who have booked a session.
How do you ensure water quality?
The water quality at Brattøra is generally very good, with only a few readings above the threshold.
- We take weekly water samples that are analysed by an accredited laboratory.
- The results are published continuously on our website, so you can check the water quality before your visit. See water test results here.
Bunker'n sauna
Are there toilets?
Yes! Our guests can use the toilets at Ladekaia Restaurant. The toilets follow the restaurant's opening hours, so we recommend checking Ladekaia's website for their hours before your visit.
Is there a shower at Bunker'n?
During the summer season (from May), we have an outdoor shower right by Bunker'n that all our guests can use.
How do I fire up the sauna?
We provide all the equipment you need: firewood and kindling.
Start by placing a few small logs and kindling in the stove. Light it carefully, and add larger logs as the fire establishes itself. Feel free to open the damper slightly to get more oxygen to the flame.
How long does it take to heat up?
We estimate approximately 1 hour of heating time for Bunker'n. This means you get about 2 hours of hot sauna per visit.
