How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
- Reschedule your appointment: You can easily reschedule your appointment up to 48 hours before booking. You can do this at this link.
- Cancel: You can cancel free of charge 72 hours before booking. Please request a refund for cancelling upon time, by contacting us as support@stu.no.
What should I bring to the sauna visit?
Bring two towels – one for swimming and one for sitting on in the sauna, and swimwear. Also bring a water bottle with plenty of water.
Can I book for a shorter or longer time than scheduled?
No, unfortunately. We only offer the set length that is defined for each sauna. If there is a special occasion that requires accommodations, please contact us at support@stu.no and we will see what we can do.
Is there a wardrobe?
All of our saunas have unisex changing rooms. At Brattøra you can also use the sanitary facilities at the Fast Boat Terminal to change and shower alone.
Can I use essential oils in the sauna?
Yes, but always follow these rules:
- Always ask other guests before using oils on the sauna heater. Some may be allergic to essential oils.
- Always mix the oils in water before throwing them on the heater, to avoid the oils burning on the stones

Are there toilets?
Yes! There are toilets and showers for both men and women, at Trondheim ferry terminal, where you will be given access through an SMS prior to booking. The map below illustrates how to get there:
How does the sanitary facilities work?
- The SMS you receive after booking includes a unique code for GoMarina and the sanitary facilities.
- This code is valid for your visit, and gives access to hot showers and toilet facilities.
- See map section below for location of the sanitary facilities in relation to the sauna.
Is there a shower by the sauna?
All guests have access to the sanitary facilities at Brattøra, where warm showers are available. There is no shower by the sauna itself, but during summer there is a tap with a garden hose that can be used for rinsing off.
Are there lockers?
No, we do not have our own lockers. However, the changing room area is only available to those who have booked an appointment.
How do you ensure water quality?
- We take weekly water samples that are analyzed by an accredited laboratory.
- The results are published continuously on our website, so you can check the water quality before your visit. See water test results here.
Bunker sauna
Are there toilets?
Yes! Our guests can use the toilets at Ladekaia Restaurant. The toilets follow the restaurant’s opening hours, so we recommend that you check the opening hours on Ladekaia’s website before your visit.
Is there a shower by the Bunker?
During the summer season (from May) we have an outdoor shower right next to the Bunker that all our guests can use.
How do I fire the sauna oven?
We provide all the equipment you need: firewood and fire-starting materials.
Start by placing a couple of small logs and some kindling in the stove. Light it gently, and add larger logs as the fire begins to establish itself. You can also open the damper slightly to allow more oxygen to reach the flame.
How long does it take to fire up?
We calculate approx. 1 hour of heating time for the Bunker’n. This means you get approx. 2 hours of hot sauna per visit.
