We missed having a place in the city where people could gather, slow down, and embrace the contrast: hot sauna, cold water, and true presence.
It all started with a single sauna — built by hand and with heart — inside a World War II bunker at Østmarkneset.
Now we’re growing, but staying true to what matters: warm experiences, close to nature, with a space for silence and socialization.
From Bartstua to Stu
We’ve made our share of mistakes — and learned from them. Now, we’re ready to mark our evolution. That’s why Bartstua has become Stu. The name is new, but our mission remains the same: to make it easy for everyone in Trondheim to enjoy sauna — all year round.
